I am a privately practicing Clinical Psychologist, practicing in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia.
I work with adults, adolescents and children on issues including anxiety, depression, parenting, trauma, grief/loss, chronic illness and chronic pain.
My goal is to help people achieve a rich, full and meaningful life, despite the many obstacles they may face along the way.
To achieve this, I use a style of therapy called Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). Rather than teaching people to control their thoughts, feelings and physical sensations, I help people to notice their experiences, and make conscious choices ‘in the moment’ to take action towards a fulfilling life.
I also draw on solution-focused, motivational, interpersonal, and mindfulness approaches, and use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) where it fits with a person’s needs.
